Roles and Responsibilites

The San Joaquin County WorkNet Development Board (WDB) is responsible for guiding workforce development efforts throughout the region. It's two primary goals are to:

  • Provide employment and training opportunities for job seekers in San Joaquin County.
  • Support the business community by connecting employers to resources and services that promote growth and expand employment opportunities.
  • Develop and modify the WIOA 5-year local plan

  • Approve budgets
  • Set policies and direction
