Economic Development Association Board

Roles and Responsibilites

The San Joaquin County Economic Development Association (EDA) serves as a central entity for advancing locally driven economic growth and development. In coordination with the Employment and Economic Development Department, local governments, and regional Chambers of Commerce, the EDA promotes policies and initiatives that foster a strong and diverse economy within San Joaquin County.

The EDA Board is responsible for supporting business retention, expansion, and attraction efforts; facilitating access to financing and technical assistance; and coordinating resources among public and private partners. Through these efforts, the EDA ensures that San Joaquin County’s economic development strategies are aligned with regional priorities and contribute to sustained job creation, business investment, and community prosperity.
