Pathways for career paths and success.

Boost your qualities, sharpen your skills, and prepare for the workforce.

Job Readiness and Training

WorkNet can help you strengthen the essentials employers look for. Job readiness means being fully prepared to enter or re-enter the workforce with the right mix of professional, personal, and workplace skills. It’s also about showing employers that you can adapt, communicate, and succeed in a professional environment.

Through job readiness support, you’ll have the chance to build and practice important soft skills, such as:
  • Communication – speaking clearly, listening actively, and presenting ideas effectively.
  • Teamwork – working well with others and contributing in group settings.
  • Problem-Solving – approaching challenges with creativity and solutions.
  • Professionalism – demonstrating reliability, accountability, and respect in the workplace.
Beyond readiness, WorkNet also provides opportunities for job training to give you the hard skills needed to compete in today’s job market. Training helps you upgrade or gain new technical abilities, earn certifications, and prepare for in-demand industries.
This might include:
  • Workshops on résumés, applications, and interview techniques.
  • Hands-on learning with career and technical programs through local partners and colleges.
  • Industry-specific training aligned with local employer needs.
  • One-on-one guidance to choose training pathways that match your career goals.
